Peace is the reflection of dharma. One has to control the mind in order to attain peace. When the mind is controlled, it remains silent. Such a state of thoughtlessness is true peace.

Nine Point Code of Conduct
Nine commitments for daily spiritual practice, at home and in the community.
Daily meditation and prayer.
Devotional singing/prayer with family members once per week.
Participation in Sai Spiritual Education programs conducted by the organization for children of Sai devotees.
Participation in community work and other programs of the organization.
Attendance at least once per month at group devotional programs conducted by the organization.
Regular study of Sathya Sai literature.
Speaking softly and lovingly with everyone with whom one comes into contact.
Not speaking ill of others, especially in their absence.
Practicing placing a ceiling on desires and utilizing any savings thereby generated for the service of mankind.

Ten Principles
For everyday life, in the home and in the community.
Love and serve the homeland; do not hate or hurt the homeland of other people.
Honor every religion; each is a pathway to the one God.
Love all people without distinction; know that mankind is a single community.
Keep the home and its environs clean; it will ensure health and happiness for you and for society.
Do not throw coins when beggars stretch their hands for alms; help them to become self-reliant. Provide food and shelter, love and care, for the sick and the aged.
Do not tempt others by offering bribes or demean yourself by accepting bribes.
Do not develop jealousy, hatred, or envy on any count.
Do not depend on others to serve your personal needs; become your own servant before proceeding to serve others.
Observe the laws of the state and be an exemplary citizen.
Adore God, abhor sin.
