Questions before you come?
What to Expect
What happens on a Sunday morning?+
We start with light meditation at 9:15, followed by devotional singing at 9:30. You are welcome to simply sit and listen; there is nothing you are expected to do or say. At 11:00, adults gather for study circle and children go to their SSE classes. Parents also have the Sai Parenting Circle, on the third Sunday of the month.
What should I wear?+
Modest, comfortable clothing, as you would wear to any spiritual gathering. Many of us wear white, but there is no dress code for visitors. Since we meet in a home, we remove our shoes at the door.
Do I need to know the songs or the languages?+
Not at all. Songs are sung in many languages with words provided, and humming along, or just listening, is plenty. Many of us started exactly that way.
Are children welcome?+
Very much so. All children are welcome. They sit with you during the singing, and at 11:00 they can join the SSE (Sai Spiritual Education) classes for grades Pre-K to 12.
Is there any cost?+
No. Everything is free, and we never solicit.
Will anyone ask me to change my faith?+
No. People of every faith practice here, each encouraged to go deeper in their own tradition. We celebrate every faith: we learn about them in study circle, teach children about them in SSE, and sing their songs at festivals through the year, from Diwali and Buddha Poornima to Christmas.
