Questions before you come?
What to Expect
What happens on a Sunday morning?+
We begin with an hour of devotional singing at 9:30. You are welcome to simply sit and listen; there is nothing you are expected to do or say. At 11:00, adults gather for study circle and children go to their classes.
What should I wear?+
Modest, comfortable clothing, as you would wear to any spiritual gathering: simple and respectful. Many of us wear white, but there is no dress code. We remove our shoes at the door.
Do I need to know the songs or the languages?+
Not at all. Songs are sung in many languages with words provided, and humming along, or just listening, is plenty. Many of us started exactly that way.
Are children welcome?+
Very much so. Children sit with you during the singing, and at 11:00 they can join the SSE (Sai Spiritual Education) classes for grades K-12.
Is there any cost or collection?+
Never. Everything is free, there are no dues or fees, and no collection is ever taken. We never solicit donations.
Will anyone ask me to change my faith?+
No. People of every faith practice here, each encouraged to go deeper in their own tradition. We celebrate every faith: we learn about them in study circle, teach children about them in SSE, and sing their songs at festivals through the year, from Diwali and Buddha Poornima to Christmas.
